About a week ago, a friend inquired why I haven't been posting. Apart from lack of time, I haven't had any good topic lately, perhaps it can be attributed to blogger's block.
I didn't wish to post on the Abu Sayyaf/MILF denial on beheadings. What can I say about it? That the marines decided to commit suicide by beheading themselves?
Last Friday, before plumbing the depths of Raon in Quiapo, I did an errand for my sister who is taking the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) today. I went to PRC at Morayta to check her room assignment. The PRC guys posted huge bulletin boards outside of the building so it was relatively easy to find the room assignments. Having found and written the information, I hurriedly crossed Morayta and inquired with the security peeps about parking and the location of the building within the school compound.
The guard was confused, having no idea what I was talking about.
In an authoritative tone, I asked him if he was aware of a big event happening on Sunday. Somehow, he was a bit intimidated and asked me if I was a professor of the school since the parking building was for the exclusive use of Administrators and Professors. Not only that, that the school management has not informed them yet of any event happening on Sunday.
It was then that I realized I was at the wrong school! I was in FEU instead of UE!!!
Having realized my mistake, I couldn't of course admit it to the guard. Pressing my advantage, I told him that maybe management will send him the memo that afternoon or on Saturday and promptly left the premises to proceed to Raon.
I suppose, like Malu Fernandez, all of us, being human, have our Hello?!? moments.
Knocking on my skull, I ask myself, "Hello, anything in there???"
